Why Soy Wax?

Soy wax is a vegetable wax derived from soybeans (in contrast, paraffin is a flammable wax derived from the distillation of petroleum). Soy wax is natural, renewable, non-toxic and biodegradable. It can be cleaned with regular soap and water. While all candles produce soot, soy candles produce significantly less and burns much cleaner. So it is less likely to trigger allergies. Soy wax also has a lower melting point. It is the reason why they are in jars (soy wax pillar candles require additives). It is the reason why they burn slower and lasts longer. It is also the reason why their fragrance is stronger and more distinct. These attributes help ensure you enjoy the candles over a longer period of time.

For these reasons, all of our candles are made from 100% soy wax.
